The legal resource centre (LRC) has opportunities for two internships for legal advisers working with specific focus on their education and health programmes.

Both posts will work under the regional director, Sarah Sephton, on a volunteer basis for a minimum of six months, based in Grahamstown. The successful candidates will provide the office with litigation support, conduct research and legal drafting, and embark on field work in the area of socio-economic rights. Candidates will be self-funding. The LRC will assist with identifying suitable accommodation.

Association of International Young Lawyers (AIJA) offers sponsorship opportunity for Advocacy Training

AIJA is searching for sponsorship for a learning-by-doing advocacy training course held in the new advocacy training suite of the Middle Temple in London from 3-5 October 2013. Forty-two delegates from around the world will be given a case to present for Claimant or Respondent and four witnesses of fact to examine. Fourteen trainers will give feedback on every delegate's performance throughout. The trainers will be lawyers with extensive experience in international arbitration.
