Law Society awarded Professional Fellowships for Pakistan, Malaysia, Jamaica and Barbados bar leaders on 2010 UK programme

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission has awarded four Professional Fellowships to bar leaders from Pakistan, Malaysia, Jamaica and Barbados to visit the UK in 2010 on a 6 week professional scheme hosted by the Law Society.

The programme, starting in January 2010, will focus on building the capacity of the participating bar association and the services they provide to members. This project is part of the Law Society's ongoing commitment to develop and strengthen the capacity of sister organisations around the world.

Previous participants include bar leaders from Trinidad, the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States, South Africa, Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, Botswana, Zambia, Swaziland and Uganda.
