Success for our English law training programme in Moscow

The Law Society has run a training programme in Moscow for Russian and CIS lawyers interested in theoretical and practical training on English law issues. The course, which took place on 17 - 19 October 2012, was organised in partnership with the College of Law.

The courses were aimed at lawyers working within an English or a local law firm, as well as in-house lawyers based in Russia and in the Commonwealth of Independent States who need to work with English law. Courses were open to lawyers qualified in any jurisdiction. For this edition, courses were held on the following topics:

17 October morning: introduction to UK business structures in law and in practice

17 October afternoon: contract law in practice

18 October morning: acquisitions overview

18 October afternoon: warranties and indemnities

19 October morning: joint venture overview

19 October afternoon: corporate loan facilities
