The Law Society and the British Turkish Law Association (BTLA) are organising a seminar in Istanbul on 17 September 2012 to take a look at recent regulatory developments in the legal profession in England and Wales, in Turkey and in foreign jurisdictions, and at the impact of the European Union on the legal professions.

This will take place at the British Consulate General in Istanbul on 17 September from 2pm to 5.30pm. The seminar, entitled “Lawyers of the Future - Exploring International Models for the Legal Profession” will focus on the main areas of changes in the regulatory environment for legal professions in Europe and the evolution in the legal services market, and their impact on the practice of legal professionals in Turkey, England and Wales, and Europe. It will gather expert speakers from Turkey, England and Europe, and is open to anyone interested in the practice of law.

The seminar will be followed by a reception from 5.30pm to 8pm to provide the delegates with a networking and business development opportunity.
