Success for the Law Society and BTLA conference in Istanbul

The Law Society and the British Turkish Law Association (BTLA) held a successful event in Istanbul on 17 September.

More than 80 participants turned up at the British Consulate General in Istanbul to hear our experts speakers discuss the recent regulatory developments in the legal profession in England and Wales, in Turkey and in foreign jurisdictions, and at the impact of the European Union on the legal professions.

The event was also an opportunity for Turkish lawyers to network with senior UK delegates at a reception. The Law Society thanks the speakers, the BTLA and the British Consulate Generale for their great work on this event, and all the participants for a lively debate.
