Call for speakers for Malaga Conference: 'Private Client, Family and Conveyancing - English-Spanish Cross-Border Legal Issues'
The Law Society and the Malaga Bar Association are hosting a conference focusing on the common legal problems encountered every year by British citizens who have property interests or family ties to Spain.
The Third Solicitors and French Avocats Exchange of Business and Information
A six-monthly meeting to strengthen business relations between France and England & Wales. Bi-lingual translators will be available.
The exchange also aims to enable practitioners to provide a quality service in international cases in a cost effective manner, and to share experiences in order to help the legal profession to evolve harmoniously across Europe.
The meeting is co-ordinated by Jenny Gracie, Law Society Council Member for Surrey. 4 CPD hours are available.
Law Society hosts Dutch Bar visit to discuss legal services reforms
The Law Society hosted on 10 February a delegation from the Dutch Bar Association to learn from recent regulatory reforms in England and Wales. The delegation was composed of Arthur Docters Van Leeuwen and Philip Karré of the Netherlands School for Public Administration and Dutch Bar Association Chief Executive Jan Suyver and Policy Adviser Niels Hupkes.
