Law firms look to South Korea after historic trade agreement is signed

UK law firms look set to benefit from the Law Society International Division’s efforts to open up the South Korean legal services market after a historic free trade agreement was signed between the European Union and leaders in Seoul.

EU-Korea FTA set to be signed

Law school dispute escalates in Korea

The Education ministry was scheduled to announce a preliminary list last week based on the Legal Education Committee's recommendations, under which 25 schools would be authorised to operate law schools.

Korea gets US style law schools

In early July the Korean government passed a bill which will change the way Korean lawyers are trained . From 2009, a new system of 'American style law schools' will be introduced phasing out the exisiting state run judicial examinations.
