Anglo-Brazilian legal partnership set to launch next month in Brazil

Lex Anglo-Brasil, the Brazilian and English Lawyers Association, is set to launch in Brazil next month to encourage greater co-operation between lawyers from both jurisdictions.

A result of cooperation between the Federal Counsel of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), the Bar Council of England and Wales and the Law Society of England and Wales, Lex Anglo-Brasil will officially launch on the 1st and 2nd December at events in the Salão Nobre of Ordem de Advogados do Brasil in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, respectively.

The Brazilian Bar Association has approved a new ID card scheme for Foreign Legal Consultants.

Rio 2016 Contracts Toolkit

The Law Society has worked with UKTI and CMS Cameron McKenna to produce a toolkit for UK companies bidding for Rio 2016 contracts.

The toolkit focuses on both providing an outline of key stages from pre-registration through to contract award, along with a detailed table of the required documentation that UK suppliers wishing to participate are required to submit.
