Inaugural event of the Omani British Lawyers Association

A new bilateral group, the Omani British Lawyers' Association (OBLA) will be holding their inaugural event on Monday 7 May, to be attended by the Law Society's vice-president Lucy Scott-Moncrieff who will be speaking on the role of the Law Society in a diverse society. The seminar in Muscat will be opened by the British Ambassador and will provide a forum for Omani and British lawyers in the region to share experiences and views.

Vice president addresses IAWJ 2012 conference

The International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ) held its biennial conference at Church House Westminster last week, bringing together over 600 judges from around the world. The Law Society was one of the principal sponsors of the event and hosted a reception for the delegates.
