Law Society president Paul Marsh will host an event on Thursday 9 July focusing on the recent growth in Africa's emerging markets and the opportunities and challenges for lawyers and firms in key sectors in Africa.

With a few places remaining to join the Law Society and UK Trade & Investment's delegation to the IBA annual conference in Madrid this October, this remains a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your international contacts, raise your firm profile and participate in a wide variety of seminars.

This will be a major two day conference on Friday 11th September and Saturday 12th September 2009 at the University of Essex in Colchester.

It is hosted jointly by the Law Society and the world renowned Human Rights Centre of the University of Essex to examine ways in which the legal profession in England and Wales can bring human rights into their everyday work.
